Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 July 2026
Inko ("the App", listed on the App Store as Inko: Invoice Maker & eSign) is developed by Evgeniy Mityulya ("we", "us"). Your privacy is the point of this app. Your documents are yours, they stay on your device, and we cannot see them. This policy explains exactly what the App accesses, why, and what leaves your phone.
1. The short version
- No account and no sign-up.
- Your documents, signatures, clients, invoices, and estimates are stored only on your device.
- We have no server for your content. We never upload it, receive it, or read it.
- We do not sell or share your data, show ads, or track you across other apps.
2. Device permissions the App asks for
The App only asks for a permission when you use the feature that needs it. You can decline, or change your mind later in the iPhone Settings app.
Camera
Used to scan a paper document and to capture a signature from paper. The camera image is processed on your device to build a clean PDF or a signature. It is not sent anywhere.
Photos
When you choose to import a document, an image, or a business logo, iOS lets you pick specific items from your photo library. Only the items you pick are brought into the App, and they stay on your device. The App does not scan or read your whole library.
Contacts
When you add a client, you can pick one contact through the standard iOS contact picker. Only the contact you select is imported (name, email, phone, address) so you do not have to retype it. The App does not read your full address book.
3. What is stored, and where
Everything you create in the App is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. This includes documents and their pages, signatures, stamps and form fields you place, clients, invoices, estimates, your business profile, and your logo. None of it is uploaded to us or to anyone else.
4. Technical data handled by service providers
To run the App we use a small number of standard services. None of them receive your documents or signatures.
- Apple and Adapty (Adapty Tech Inc., Delaware, USA) handle purchases and subscriptions. They process your purchase and subscription status and an app-generated identifier, used to unlock features, manage your subscription, and restore purchases. We never see your card details; payment is handled entirely by Apple.
- TelemetryDeck (Germany) provides privacy-first, anonymous usage analytics. It receives aggregated signals about which features are opened, so we can see what to improve. It does not collect personal data and does not identify you or track you across other apps or websites.
- Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) provides crash reporting. If the App crashes it sends technical diagnostics such as the error, device model, and iOS version so we can fix the bug. It does not include your document content.
5. Why we are allowed to handle this data
For purchases and subscriptions, because it is necessary to provide the service you have paid for. For crash reports and anonymous usage statistics, because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the App working and in seeing which features are worth improving. We do not rely on consent for any of this, and none of it involves your documents.
6. What we do not do
- We do not sell, share, or rent your data.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We do not access, upload, or store your documents or signatures.
7. Data retention and deletion
Your content stays on your device until you delete a document or remove the App. Deleting the App removes its on-device data. We keep no copy of anything. Technical data held by the providers in section 4 is kept under their own retention policies, linked in section 11.
8. Children
The App is a business tool for signing and invoicing. It is not directed to children.
9. Your rights and choices
Your documents are in your hands: delete a document, or delete the App, and the content is gone. Each permission is yours to grant or withdraw in the iPhone Settings app.
For the technical data in section 4 you can ask us to confirm what is held about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or stop its processing, and to provide a copy in a portable format. Write to the address in section 13 and we will answer. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union and our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.
10. Where data is processed
Your documents never leave your device, so they are not transferred anywhere. The technical data in section 4 is handled as follows:
- TelemetryDeck processes anonymous usage statistics in Germany.
- Sentry processes crash reports in its European Union storage region, which we have selected for this app.
- Adapty processes subscription status in the United States. That transfer is covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, together with the UK Addendum issued by the Information Commissioner's Office, under the agreement at adapty.io/data-processing-agreement.
11. Third-party privacy policies
- Apple: apple.com/legal/privacy
- Adapty: adapty.io/privacy
- TelemetryDeck: telemetrydeck.com/privacy
- Sentry: sentry.io/privacy
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and material changes will be reflected here.
